Drink enough water before, during, & after your flight. Being at such high altitude dehydrates the body & makes you feel sleepy and just... bleh. Drink water & you will feel at your best for your trip. Plus, it helps equalize the pressure in your ears and lessen jet lag.

Especially in still-developing countries, don’t appear rich & don’t appear grungy. Choose somewhere in the middle. Standing out makes you a bigger target. You’ll be treated much more like the locals if you dress similarly.
